A group of international women religious studying at the Assumption College for Sisters, Denville, visited the abbey on June 22, 2018. The monastery prior, Fr. Edward Seton Fittin, gave them a tour of the monastery and abbey church, before the group adjourned to the monastery chapter room. There the sisters listened to Fr. Edward Seton's presentation on a quick excursion through monastic history from the death of St. Benedict in the mid-6th century to the some thoughts on the Vatican II document on the renewal of religious life, Perfectæ Caritatis.
Assumption College is conducted by the Sisters of Christian Charity. The monks of St. Mary's Abbey have served as chaplains at their Mendham provincialate, Mallinckrodt Convent, for more than 80 years.
